To start using the large bore imaging facilities at the Martinos Center:
- Make sure the proposed MRI procedures that you plan to conduct are covered in your MGH IRB or IACUC protocol. Note that if you will require a Martinos imaging technologist to perform the imaging study you will need to add them to your IACUC animal protocol. - Obtain a Yellow Scanning Badge:(In training badge required for all new users)
- Complete the Health Stream Trainings (HERE)
- Fill out the Employee Screening form
- Sign up (HERE) and attend one Safety Training with the MR Techs in person, in Bay 1.
- *Health Stream trainings and Employee Screening forms MUST be completed 1 week prior to in-person training date. If they are not completed 1 week prior to in-person training date you will not be allowed to attend the in-person training.
- Review current Scheduling Policies and Procedures and apply for an Imager Project account (Application)
- Contact our Core Imaging Team to arrange a time to build a MRI protocol for your project.
- Reserve time on the appropriate scanner schedule. Take a look at the scanner schedules to see what time slots are available.
- Imager Time Requests should be submitted through the following site: Scheduling Imager and Testing Facilities
- Special requests should be sent to mri-time.
- Make sure all team members are to subscribed to the mri-scan email list to receive scanner updates and scheduling information.
